3 Tips for Making Spring Cleaning a Breeze

Denise Rivers

It's that time of year again; and what better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring and warm weather than to whip out the cleaning supplies and get to work deep cleaning your home. Check out these three tips on how to simplify the Spring cleaning process this year.

1. Have a plan. Having a plan of action before you even start to clean can save you a lot of time and stress in the long run. Decide which areas of the home you want to tackle first. You may want to try cleaning the bathrooms first, as they are often the most difficult rooms to clean. Next, move on to the kitchen, living room and other common areas within the home. Then, finish with the bedrooms, office, and other more private spaces.

2. Open windows. Deep cleaning your home often involves the use of a lot of chemical-based products. Cleaning on a nice day when you can open the windows and allow a cool breeze to circulate throughout your home can often help to ensure that you and your family members aren't inhaling the toxic fumes. This is especially important if you or anyone in your household suffers from allergies and/or asthma.

3. Make it a joint effort. Spring cleaning takes a considerable amount of time and energy, and often requires the help of the entire household. Make it a team effort by solicting the help of other members within the household. Try assigning specific duties to each member so that everyone feels useful. You can make it fun by playing music or incorporating a game of some sort.

Spring cleaning doesn't have to be hard. Make it easy by implementing the tips listed above and any other hacks you have found to be helpful.
